Domaine de Magalanne, Côtes du Rhône Rouge 2022

Run by brothers Jean‑Baptiste and Julien Betton, Domaine de Magalanne is rooted in generations of vine growing in the southern Rhône (over 10 in the family). Their 25 hectares cover Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages, and Signargues, farmed under sustainable/integrated methods with soil cover, careful parcel selection, and vinification that respects varietal character and terroir. The 2022 is made from a blend of Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache; offering a deep ruby hue, releasing aromas of black cherry, raspberry and a waft of peppery spice. It’s medium-bodied with rounded soft tannins, balanced acidity, and touches of licorice and vanilla from oak influence. Earthy undertones and a long finish with warm red fruit linger. Easy‑drinking now but enough structure to gain complexity over the next 3‑5 years
